This paper is a complementary paper to the “Informe sobre el comportamiento registrado en las condiciones de acceso de los productos de Paraguay al mercado intrarregional” (Report on the Behaviour of the Access Conditions faced by Paraguayan Products in the Intra-Regional Market), prepared in November 2004, also available in this section. It was developed within the framework of the actions carried out by ALADI General Secretariat in compliance with Resolution 56 of ALADI Twelfth Council of Ministers, aiming at establishing the main restrictions faced by Paraguayan products in the member countries’ markets, as well as their commercial consequences.

It was prepared in two phases. In the first one, the author carried out a survey among the Paraguayan exporters on information related to restrictions to Paraguayan exports. In the second one, the survey took place among public and private bodies that register problems reported by the Paraguayan export sectors arisen from their trade relations with the countries of the region.
